Grant and Programs Associate

Joey Albin joined the Arnall Family Foundation in June 2026, bringing a broad background in information and knowledge management to his work as a Grant and Programs Associate. His career has spanned higher education, librarianship, international development, and strategic software support, giving him a versatile set of tools for supporting the Foundation's grantmaking and programs work.

Joey earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory from Belmont University and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma, where he also spent several years as an institutional data analyst and research librarian. At the Bureau of International Labor Affairs, he undertook a wide range of knowledge management, taxonomy, and research assistance work in the context of international labor rights and development. He most recently supported a variety of organizations in the nonprofit sector in a strategic software capacity at Foundant Technologies.

Outside of work, Joey is an avid fan and student of J.R.R. Tolkien and his works. He is also an active local musician and composer, and when he is not at home playing music or cooking, he can frequently be found on a local tennis court or disc golf course.
